The feathers will soon hit the fan! Over the coming weeks we will witness one of the craziest times in Canadian mining history - the drama of intrigue and greed in the Ring of Fire!

I am not a prophet nor a son of a prophet but here is what I see coming soon:

First, the Ring of Fire - is a big deal. In an economy that is desperate for a good news story - the Ring of Fire is it.

Second, we will in all probability have a report from Cliffs tomorrow as to where the smelter will be - everything seems to favour Sudbury. If so, expect the First Nations to get into gear and organize an effective negative response. From recent reports it would appear they have been (or felt they have been) totally ignored by Ontario and Cliffs. Not a wise move on the part of the government and Cliffs - and a far cry from the KWG plan of ensuring that the First Nations would own the railway!

Third, in the next couple of days we should get at least the metallurgy results of this past winter's drilling. The assays will still be some time yet. Those results will be proof positive that KWG's earlier results were accurate. It is hard to predict any results it will have on the stock price as there is still uncertainity as to Cliffs next moves.

Fourth, lawyers are reportedly meeting tomorrow at the Mining Commissioner's Office to set in place a schedule for subsequent hearings into whether Cliffs may obtain an easement over the KWG's staked claims. This will be a drawn out process - it will be months before this thing gets settled. However, given the right circumstance it could be pre-empted by a take out bid at any time.

Fourth, with the First Nations upset with Cliffs I expect to see further court action that will, in all likelihood, be a cause celeb for all of the anti-mining groups who will characterize this as corporate America's takeover of Canadian resources.

If you have not seen or heard much about the Ring of Fire in the news before - that will change dramatically. We are now about to go into the regular evening news cycle.

The ground is about to shake - how this will end is anybody's guess - it will be unpredictable - even by the "big boys". We do not know the day when we awake as to whether it will be the day that KWG's work will have paid off. It is coming - sooner than we think. The ducks are lining up in a row. The trigger is about to be pulled. Hang on for the ride because, in my view, there will be very high highs, and very low lows before there is equilibrium.
