Well, the rain didn't come. But the cold winds sure did. And they blew Team Strato to the bottom of the pack.
Congratulations to the winning team, Team Storm (Storm, Mrs. Storm, Storm Jr. and Caledon club pro Ryan Benoit), who repeat as ROF Classic champions. They shot a 3 under par 69 in those winds.
2nd Place was Team Corndog, who were the undercorndogs going in to the day. They fired a 2 under par 70.
Truckulater won longest strato-drive and Ryan Benoit won closest to the strato-pin. For the ladies, well we had a draw for the two prizes as nobody hit the FW or the green. If I remember this correctly, as everyhting is still quite blurry, Judy Graham and Momma Truck won the 2 prizes.
After re-adding the scorecards, I noticed a couple of errors. 3rd Place goes to Team Trace, with a one under par, 71 (not 72), 4th place goes Team KWG with an even par 72, 5th place went to Team Bold, with a 76 (not 77) and in last place, Team Strato, with a six over par, 78.
Team Corndog had the least putts with 25. Team Storm had the most greens in reg. with 16 out of 18. And Team KWG had the most FW's, hitting all 14 of 14 fairways. Team Trace had the only penalty stroke of the day (#14, the brute).
Best front nine was Team Storm & Team Corndog with 2 under, 34. Best back was Team KWG with 2 under, 34.
Most birdies was Team Corndog & Team KWG with 5. Most pars was Team Trace with 15, Team Strato had the most bogeys with 7 and for the first time in the ROF Classic, there were no double or triple bogeys. We're getting better !
Special thanks to Mustangman & Mrs. Storm for getting pics of the teams and prize winners. These will be posted when ready.
Okay, more on the rest of the exciting day and evening after I make myself a roast beef sandwich, from last night's dinner. Yummy.
