Stompin Tom Connors and His Mining Song(s)

Stompin Tom Connors passed away yesterday.

He is famous for a number of folk songs about Canada's resource sectors including he classic "Sudbury Saturday Night", a song that was once banned from Sudbury radio stations when it first came out.

The old stuffy Inco did not like that song at all!!

However, Stompin Tom also sang a number of other mining themed songs about Timmins, Elliot Lake and coal mining:
