B212,
CLF has been talking all along about their road proposed to be built on their applied easement (which they just lost). CLF would expect that this road, subsidized by the government, is to be built as a private road for CLF monster trucks. My guess is that in the end, they may allow other miners to use their road for a (lucrative) fee. They might throw in the access by other vehicles card as a carrot in their negotiation with the Province. Even if this scheme were successful, who would dare driving in the same road with monster trucks which always have "the right of weight". In bad weather, one bad accident would tie up the road for hours, or even days...and guess which party would come out second best (hint: not the monster trucks).
As I see it, the only economical way for transporting bulk materials is by the RR, which can be fitted with rail cars, as an option, that could carry passenger vehicles to and from Ontario North and the southern towns, including the big town Toronto.
A small all-weather service road along side the RR should be built by the Province with the participation of utility companies (power, telecomunication, etc...) for passenger vehicles for serving isolated FN communities and utility trucks for servicing the infrastructure. (Note: Companies can build wind turbines in those communities or along the power corridor).
People can have an option to ship their cars by rail for use at both ends of their train stops, especially in bad weathers, or if the cost is cheaper than driving their cars.
Just speculating folks.
