Of course they had to appeal. If nothing else they will try to use it as a negotiating tool. As well, they need to show their shareholders that they are not the bumbling fools that they really have been when it comes to the ROF. What does it mean for KWG? Nothing, nothing at all. Firstly if it ever gets to appeal, the laws are clear so why would Cliffs think they could win the next time? By the time the appeal is heard, KWG, the Feds and the Province will already have a plan for a railroad, so it will be too little too late for Cliffs. Once again just more bully tactics by Cliffs and their lawyers...don't blame them that is all they know, it reminds me of that tale with the Scorpion and the frog:
