I'll try again. Think of the ring of fire development as a multi storey house. We are each describing the storey we are on, but don't realize there are two, or more, other storeys to be considered.

The chromite/nickel discoveries are one storey, the transportation route another, with the processing facility making up the third storey. I am discussing the chromite/nickel mine(s), while you are discussing the transportation route. However, the need for a transportation route, and the form of it, is dependant on the materials that need to be moved over that route, and the destination of that product. As of yesterday, there is no need to be able to move anything other than the nickel, and no destination for the chromite if it was available. This moves the transportation route, and it's form, to the basement for now.

An all season basic road, or even a seasonal road, could suffice for the nickel, and would lend itself to gradual upgrading over time. I, like RHammer, have seen 100 or more of these roads built in Northern Alberta and B.C., and the swamps up there would easily compare to anything in the JBL.

If, as I suggest, the transportation needs have been greatly reduced for the interim, then KWG should maybe redirect their efforts elsewhere, and draw on the responses that saved their claims to the N/S corridor.

CLF attempted to usurp their rights to this corridor, and might have been successfull if KWG had not had prior intentions for the route, which the CLF application would have interfered with. KWG/CLF have a 30/70 partnership on Big Daddy. If KWG applied for the right to move forward on that project, and the same rulings applied, CLF would have to exhibit intentions that would be interfered with by KWG, or lose their rights to it. KWG could simply use all the arguments CLF raised, except in reverse. It's a long shot, but could give KWG control, or at least, operatorship of the discovery. It would also, however, require the support of the Ont Gov't, and considering the wrench CLF just threw into their plans, that may be easily obtained.

best regards
