Black Horse deposit has an Inferred Resource Now 85.9 Million Tonnes @ 34.5%
DHR, link below, was saying that its project in the RoF (Wabassi) is on the N-S corridor and in between the Eabametoong (Fort Hope) and Marten Falls communities. It refers to this N-S road as the CLF road which is in the KWG map (on display at PDAC and now available at KWG website I believe).
But note that KWG map has an "alternate E-W corridor" running across from Marten Falls to the West (near Eabametoong settlement, presumably) and meeting with NOT-proposed E-W road at a junction some 50km North of Pickle Lake.
It would be quite possible to build both the NOT road (to go through other FN communities from that Junction to Webequie. The cost estimate of $80M for this road was a bit of a surprise, i.e. not expensive at all, and NOT can chip in, if it wants this road bad enough). The alternate E-W road which would serve as a link to the RoF, the Eabametoong and Marten Falls communities. It's important to keep Marten Falls folk happy for their cooperation (especially their Chief) when time comes to construct the N-S corridor (RR of course, with a small service road running parallel to the RR. Note the co-existence between the RR corridor and the Alternate E-W corridor in the KWG map).
With both NOT proposed E-W road and the alternate E-W road built, the construction of the RR could be done from the North and South ends and from the middle point to go North and South, i.e. construction of the RR could be done from 4 directions (4x faster?).
Until the details are spelled out in the budget, the situation is as clear as mud, and one can only speculate.
Speculation: The Prov would start the infrastructure building by funding the "road", various roads, plus some preparation of the rail bed, say for a total of $1.1B (the crystal says it is). Additional funding could come from the Feds and various stakeholders, including investors Gates and/or Buffett (hopefully)... and the public (in the form of long-term bonds issued by the "Port Authority").
