LauraB,

As usual, excellent information. I agreed with all the advantages in green below the map.

1. Addition: I Would add the following (political) advantage: "This light alternate E-W road would connect Marten Falls and Eabametoong (Forte Hope) communities to Pickle Lake. The Chiefs of these 2 communities are quite vocal and tough bargainers. So, if they are happy we will all, including Frank, be happy."

2. Comments:

- Cost: Thought that the max cost of this road is ~$100M and min cost is ~$84M? (as per KWG map, the one posted on the wall at PDAC booth). So where did $147-$187M (and per capita?) come from?

- Cost of NOT's E-W road: Again from the same map, the cost for this is ~$80M which is about the same as the minimum cost above. NOT was expecting some constribution from the Prov or the Feds (50%) and others. My guess is that this road will be built as well.

3. Question: Where is the source for this (from Chief Bob Rae who is representing the Matawa FNs, or is it in some recent Gov. official announcement, or in Deloitte recommendations?)

Thanks,

goldhunter
