Poster GreaseM had an excellent idea for contacting the Ontario Nortland employees for their support of the petition, since KWG's proposal is key for their survival and future expansion.
However, the idea should be extended to the folks supporting PC candidate Fedeli for Nipissing. His support for the role the ONTC and the rail for transporting chromite out of the RoF is noted in his news conference of 4 June 2014 and he's close enough to the PC Leader (in effect, shadow Minister Finance) to make it happen if the PC forms the next government. The Lib could probably get some money from the Feds, but the PC would have a better chance to get much more.
In addition, the social media campaign could be directed to the voters in Nipissing/North Bay and neighbouring ridings. This could to add a lot more signatures for the petition (from all parties, since development of the North is important to them regardless of their party affiliation.
AGO or KWG can certainly do this, but some of us, with smart phones and connections with some of the folks in "the North" could start a "flash petition event"? This is a case where us older folks can borrow a page from the teenagers, assuming that we all are over 19 to have interest in, and enough money for, investing...I could be totally wrong though, lol.
We have 1 week left before 12 June.
