This audio clip is quite interesting, thanks to MM, a fellow investor who sent the link via PM.

Quite a few key players were in the clip.
- Moe Levigne (he was promoted by the CBC to President,... the last time I looked he's a VP, an oversight of the CBC): Moe was interviewed, and I paraphrased:
"Cliffs expressed interest that they seller of the chromite assets and asked if we are a potential buyer...and the answer was YES."
- Direct confirmation from CLF was not available, but CLF issued a note to the CBC talking general strategy (focus on iron ore in the US, exploring strategic opportunities to get best long-term values for other assets, including chromite, but have nothing new to report on this front).
- MPP Mike Mantha, NDP critic was interviewed (fairly lengthy interview)
- Our Minister Gravelle also issued a statement (blah, blah, blah)
Short audio. Have a listen to hear it directly.
It looks like things are getting moving, along with the appointment of the new Deputy Minister of ND&M.
