I think they are saying give us ownership?

I hope the government does not give them ownership of the mineral rights. They do not even own the land title. Users and Caretakers only. They can't own it or borrow against it.

And

Their own First Nation government in Canada. That sounds like treason to me. It did when Quebec tried it.

I think the natives should talk nicely to a company that they want something for nothing from. They have nothing to offer. The Province has the ability and authority to expropriate whatever they deem in the "best interests of the people". all the people of Canada.

I think they are just trying to hold up progress untill everyone leaves, gives up, and they will do it for themselves. On their terms.

Even when this gets done the next time they don't approve of something they will close and blockade the road. (If it ever gets built). Sounds like home grown terrorism to me.

I do not want to have to go down this road. The Natives have sufferred by their own hand for too long. Lets help them out.
