The price varies a lot, with different sources having variations in composition & so quality of steel produced, as well as fluctuations with supply & demand, and currency relative values changing. Sometimes quoted in Renminbi as China is the biggest importer and user.

Some sold as lump ore, some as 'fines' and some pelletised. 

Ferro-chrome sells at a much higher price, making the capital outlay for a reducing operation well worth-while.
