Creating value through Exploration and Development in the Sierra Madre of Mexico
Great post Bull! Hey, get this...I know a country that only @232 years ago, (I believe less than half the span of the Roman Empire), began with a revolution, less than 100 years later engaged in a major civil war, less than 70 years later suffered a massive depression, less than @30 years later, (and just a short time ago), mandated massive racial segregation, has been drawn into multiple wars and military conflicts, and is now on the cusp of yet another severe recession if not depression. Well...you get the point. I would hate to think that having reviewed such history, I would have decided against buying Apple because of the crazy geopolitical climate. You have to take risks in life, and yes it is best to mitigate those risks, through the attainment of knowledge and wisdom, through careful study and discourse, not unlike that which occurs on this board. At some point, however, one will attain most if not all of the useful knowledge that is available, and upon that we make our decisions. Then we wait. We carefully review the fundamentals, repostulate our theories in an effort to come to a bulletproof conclusion...the sure thing. Truth is there are no sure things. In our overzealousness to will a sure thing, we can start theorizing and postulating ideas that are really counterproductive to our goals. Sifting through all of the garbage that we quickly discarded months ago, as it now seems to have grown more weighty and believable. Not to oversimplify, but things begin to become monsters in closets. Before we go to bed, and lights go out, we know that tomorrows clothes are hanging on the closet door. We turn out the lights and can't sleep, so now we wait. At some point, we nonchalantly recognize how the clothes that we know are hanging on the door resemble a monster. We shrug it off and have to wait some more, as we still can't sleep. I am not sure exactly when it happens, but at some point, irrational or not, those clothes become a grotesque tentacled monster, and it's going to eat me!!! Thank God for the monster proof sheets on my bed. Just my thoughts, but it appears that JP and EKs wall of worry is alive and well.
