...is called Acquire. It is a game of mergers and aquisitions. It is a board game you can buy at Amazon and Ebay, and is tremendous fun. I have a lot of strategy games, but this one actually gets played with casual gamers. It's like Othello - easy to learn, a lifetime to master. People find that they love it and get addicted to it - easy to play, but makes you think very carefully. You have to balance cash flow with long-term investing in positions that are highly illiquid. It's just like investing in Gold/Silver juniors.

The 2008 version by Avalon Hill is cheaper, but they changed the rules and it's not as much fun as the 1999 version. The 1999 version goes on eBay for about $60-$80. This is the version I insist everyone play because it's 3 dimensional and the rules are better.
If you can get 3-4 (or more) people to play, it is A BLAST!
