What is happening and Why is it happening

"Why is this happening? Understand this... It really does not matter. Fear that growth cannot be sustained...panic... concern about the ability of the system to sustain itself...sunspots...or simply in some cases, the whims of the lenders. The why of what is happening matters little in relation to the realization of the happening itself. "

I agree with your statement above because the reason does not change the appropriate action to take financially, namely precious metals and their miners. But.... there's always a but.... but this one isn't negative.

For those who want to know what is happening I think Karl Denninger explains it very well. I spotted this link on the Tyhee board where the posts have become much more instructive and informative of late.

The writing style is excellent but cannot be skimmed. The reader must take the time to get the importance of each statement and also to do as he says and go back to his previous piece where he included a tremendously powerful chart of falling GDP growth to New Debt created. As he says note the after effects of the 80's inflation and how long it took to get back to the trend line. It wasn't crossed again until 1992 even though GDP growth to New Debt is a declining trend. Then think of the inflation that is taking place now and where we are starting from...we could very easily go to zero. Also he explains why one sector after another is taking hits. A fantastic piece(s) of work.

As Denninger states, we crossed the Rubicon in 1968 where New GDP Growth to New Debt fell below 1 : 1. The economy has been unhealthy and declining ever since. It has now reached seriously dangerous levels.

I opened both articles in different windows so I could switch back and forth.

This link contains the main article of interest

And this article contains the graph (the article itself is good)

I read articles from many writers....this one made me stand up and take notice.
