From the I-told-you-so department:

Not that long ago I despaired that Dennis, Wrong Way, Gartman anticipated gold going parabolic. He said so on CNBC's Fast Money a couple of weeks ago. I saw that as a negative for gold and possibly Kimber. Some disagreed with my assessment about Gartman's call.

Flash forward to tonight on CNBC's Fast Money and, predictably, Gartman has done his typical 180-degree flip-flop. Now, he's negative on gold. He was wrong about the parabolic move, he said. Hopefully his record holds and this is the prelude to a positive move for gold, and, by extension, Kimber.

Might be just our luck, though, that finally he gets one right this time. Remember the No. 1 rule of prognostication, make lots and lots of predictions -- contradictory predictions -- and eventually you nail one.
