As to your main point, maybe they aren't the same questions from everyone. Maybe some people ask better questions than others.

And, as stated, it's often instructive to deal person-to-person rather than getting the antiseptic press release. Wouldn't that sort of fall into your previous description of he said, she said. But, if that's your preference, don't waste your time in personal contact.
