Message board denizens,
For those with questions about Kimber, or doubts, or concerns, or laments or suggestions ..... here's what to do ----- call the company.
Don't glean information from third-party providers. Don't depend on others, period.
But to wean you off that reliance habit, I'll save you a trip to the Kimber web site. The phone number is 866-824-1100. Matt Hamilton, investor relations, is extension 105, but he's hard to get. CEO Gordon Cummings is extension 103 and he answered the phone when I called a half hour ago.
Matt in the past has been pleasant enough, if not totally helpful. Gordon has a great accent and, as most of you probably have learned through life, you can learn a lot not only from a person's answers to questions, but how those answers are delivered. Is there confidence in the voice? Enthusiasm? Optimism? Or is it telemarketer-like droning; merely reading from a script?
You can't get the CEO of Exxon on the phone, but you are a better than even chance to get the Kimber CEO. It's up to you to ask the right questions and weigh the answers. If you do that well, you are more than halfway home.
Sure, it requires some effort. But doesn't that beat bleating complaints into the ether of a message board?
