A quote from the news:
"The Canadian company, which recently took over Aurelian Resources to gain control of its Fruta del Norte gold deposit in Ecuador, earned $64.7 million, or 10 cents a share, in the quarter ended Sept 30.
That was up from $39.4 million, or 7 cents a share, in the year-before period.
Stripping out one-time items, the company earned 13 cents a share, which was in line with analysts' average estimates, and the exception in a reporting period in which most large gold producers have disappointed the market with their earnings.
The company has a cash position of more than $700 million, it said."
My guess is Kinross did, but in today's market sentiment who knows which way the share price might go?
