LNG Energy Ltd. ("LNG") (TSX Venture -- LNG) announces that it has acquired the remaining 10% of the shares of LNG Energy (BC) Ltd. (formerly Cheetah Oil & Gas Ltd. (British Columbia)) ("LNG BC") that it did not previously own from Cheetah Oil & Gas Ltd. (Nevada) ("Cheetah").

The purchase price for the LNG BC shares was US$250,000. In addition, LNG has forgiven all outstanding amounts (Cdn$300,000 principal and accumulated interest) owed by Cheetah to LNG under a loan agreement dated March 12, 2008.
LNG BC holds interests in approximately 5.5 million acres of land prospective for oil and natural gas in Papua New Guinea.
