Yes, condolences to the family and all involved.
Having worked underground for a couple of summers years ago, and having grown up in a small mining town, I know how tight knit the community is.... not just the folk underground, but the spouses, friends, and other people in the area who work at the mine.
So as terrible as this is for one man and his family, it is also very difficult for all those who worked with him, for the guy on the scoop tram especially, for the rest of the community, and for all of the families of those people that head underground every day.
Mining is much safer than it was years ago, but it still has its risks, and every so often something terrible like this reminds us all of it
