Thanks, but I understand the difference between legitimate shorting and naked shorting. What I don't understand is how the naked shorters get away with it time and time again, because it should be easily traced and prosecuted.

Actually, I guess I UNDERSTAND how they get away with it (see next few posts on crooks and incompetent, lazy boobs). I am just so frustrated that the regulators continue to allow it to happen.
