Whaler,

We know some people were buying at the 5 cent mark and below, many of those will be cashing in 2 and 3 bangers. Others who bought long ago will be cashing in as they may feel that this is may be their best chance to get their money out. Others may cash to see if they can pick it up again aroung 5 cents.

That explains the selling side, IMHO. On the buying side... I believe that some people are taking advantage of knowledge most of us do not have.
