Down here, the buyers were only offering lobster fisherman $3.25 a pound at the wharf because the US market has collapsed (about half of what they would usually get). So, the fisherman are selling live lobsters from trucks on the side of the road and in parking lots at $5 a pound, lower than I have ever been able to buy straight from fisherman friends in the past.
My only concern is that the price of butter might be skyrocketing with the demand.... ;)
