The $6 quote was in reference to pre production ore costs. If you look at the financials Gary costs were averaging in the mid $6 range. Any pre production nickel being pulled out of the ground at a nickel price of $6 was being sold for a loss.

$3.50 was the expected cost at full production to start in early 2009.. before the world tanked.
