.in the last 5 months we have seen an increase on the LME of 7,500 metric tns of ni and their seems to be no buyers. Vale ( INCO ) does not usually supply ni to be sold on the LME , as they have their own contract orders to fulfill. Vales product has always demanded a higher price as their product is of a more finish ( higher ) grade.I have been on both sides of the fence in these disputes, and i view this current one as a political power battle. I think the union has read the amount of inventory ( ni on hand ) Vale currently has stashed away, and from what i hear could fulfill their current contracts for the next 9 months. I think the workers missed the fact, although Voisey Bay voted 99 % to strike they are in-fact working still until August. I hear that Xstrata is currently assisting Vale to Smelt all the Voisey ore until in which time they do go on strike. I hear until all operations at Vale are closed , Vale should have at least 100,000 metric tns on hand. I do not see a draw down happening from the current LME because of this dispute in Sudbury. I do believe as a shareholder of Liberty, we will be better off with a direct line to the Asian market with our new found partners. Just one mans opinion.. Traps7
