I hear that Xstrata has found a way out of paying the Ni bonus. That is, instead of basing it on the profits of the Sudbury ops they would base it on total company profits. That would mean that they could take the Ni bonus money and invest it into capital projects all over the world rather than pay it out. If this is true, it will make contract negotiations very interesting.
