Producing Mines and "state-of-the-art" Mill

Message: Hub Leaders - Are you there?

In my opinion, two contributors are abusing their privileges on this forum, and I believe it warrants some kind of action by a hub leader. Over the years this forum has been very lenient, compared to certain other forums in allowing open discussion. It is quite obvious these two are taking advantage.

Both Tantallon and EBF repeatedly refer to operating costs, using cost from start-up production months to suggest that Gary Nash is not being forthcoming in his comments on this subject. The evident fact that cost amounts being discussed were at full capacity has been drawn to their attention numerous times. However, their comments continue, and I can’t believe it is through ignorance of the fact that certain costs do not increase when production reaches maximum, and that cost per tonne will reduce significantly. However, even if the repeating of this fact has not sunk in, enough is enough. In my opinion, this repetitive disregard for the obvious faults in their reasoning will lead to the hostility you are trying to avoid on this forum.

The same applies to the inclusion or exclusion of non-cash costs in the per tonne costs. When Tantallon throws in amortization and depletion to discussion of the ability to repay debt based on full production, it of course has no bearing. I have difficulty believing that Tantallon is not aware of this.

Both EBF and Tantallon have made reference to the fact that interest and preferred dividends must be considered. Of course they must be considered, and they are considered. They are properly included in expenses. EBF’s comment “I also would like to see what the effect debt servicing will have on the operating costs. $4.50 IMHO is just not doable but I am willing to be proven wrong” is an example. Debt servicing costs are not an operating expense, and have no bearing on the $4.50 number that is being discussed. The financial statements make this clear, and I think EBF should know this.

EBF states “I should remind everyone that to date I have not seen a production or cost target met” A comment like this should require a reference to what production or cost targets he is referring to. I expect he cannot do this, and without it the comment is outright bashing.

I believe it has been mentioned on this site before the similarity in the posts of these two individuals to similar efforts on Stockhouse. I would ask one of you to warn these individuals that this in not a form that will tolerate these games.
