Mr. Andre Audet reports
EVERTON AND LINEAR GOLD DISCOVER A NEW MINERALIZED ZONE AT LA LECHOZA WEST ON THE AMPLIACION PUEBLO VIEJO CONCESSION, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Everton Resources Inc. and its partner Linear Gold Corp. have discovered a new mineralized zone west of La Lechoza prospect on the northern portion of the Ampliacion Pueblo Viejo concession located in the central part of the Dominican Republic, adjacent to the Barrick/Goldcorp's Pueblo Viejo 22.4 million ounce gold deposit.
Recent field follow-up on soil anomalies from the 2007 survey led to the discovery of the La Lechoza west showing which consists of a series of limonitic to siliceous gossan floats and red ferruginous jasper with white quartz stockwork veinlets floats clustered over an area of 600 square metres. A composite rock sample from several floats on La Lechoza west returned up to one gram per tonne (g/t) gold, 6.7 g/t silver, 0.1 per cent copper and 0.12 per cent zinc. The La Lechoza west showing is situated 1.5 kilometres northwest and on stratigraphic trend to the La Lechoza prospect from which the best surface intercept in trench LT-11 returned 6.65 g/t gold and 18.8 g/t silver over 22 metres. In 2005, drilling performed by Linear at La Lechoza included a one-metre massive sulphide zone at 10.25 per cent copper and 5.71 g/t gold within a larger zone of 22 metres containing 1 per cent copper and 0.3 g/t gold.
Everton and Linear just completed a 90-sample infilling soil sampling program to confirm the continuity between La Lechoza and La Lechoza west. A field mapping and rock sampling program is currently under way on La Lechoza west in preparation for the upcoming drill program announced by the partners in Stockwatch on June 1, 2009.
