Well, Tesla has quite few of such contracts on Lithium already but does not take any. On top of that Musk is signing agreements with Panasonic, CATL and God knows with who else to delivery batteries. At the same time, their own JV runs on less than 80% installed capacity, and the contract with Glencore is supposed to be for 3 years only.
Unless someone sees the details of those contracts, it is not conclusive that they will produce its own batteries. I see, what you are writing, but how many of such contracts were annouced by Tesla so far and what was the outcome?
