Well, on second look... that is after all of the incentives it brings it down to $13,000 and only in Texas for now.  Got your attention though, eh?  Kandi has been around in China for a number of years so Texas is their beachead here in the U.S. and as early as this year.  I will believe it when I see it.  Maybe 2021, but they are getting a lot of attention here because of all their claims.  Certainly it has been a boost for Kandi stock.  The important thing is that Tesla has more competition now on the low side of the market to make EV's available to those of us with a more conservative budget and less "discretionary funds" to spend on an Electric Vehicle.

Note, though.. Kandi has been here before many years ago and that initial vehicle wasn't much more than a glorified golf cart.. it didn't make much of a splash, not even a drip.  That being said, at least the video gives the impression that this time around Kandi's EV entry into the U.S. market really does look like a small car.  So, to U.S. potential buyers price will be a consideration but how about quality.  If it rides like a Golf Cart then the splash on the U.S. market may not be very big.

Kandi's effort to get into the U.S. market does illustrate how wide the choices are now available to any U.S. potential EV buyer, not only in qualtiy but also in price.  It proves that the march forward of EV's vs ICE vehicles is progressing, just as predicted and that EVs will continue to have a greater influence on the overall U.S. automobile market in the future, even though by present standards that slice of the market is small.  Big Oak Trees come from small acorns.

All these new EV's mean, of course, greater lithium demand and domestic sources of lithim here in the U.S. will benefit from that incresed demand.  LAC has one of the biggest potential domestic sources of lithium out at Thacker Pass in Humboldt County, Nevada.   Go LAC!!!!
