There is a video at the bottom of this article from Business Insider that addresses the views of the "Chief Sustainability Officer of General Motors" about the grid, but his views are hidden inside this long, long video.  I suggest starting at the 56:24 mark and listening until the 1:00:12 mark for a little less than 4 minutes out of the 1 hour and over 30 minute video.  I don't recommend taking an hour and a half to listen to the whole video.  In my opinion it isn't worth it, but I did find that little snippet of interest.  The article is short and has some interest as well.
