First of all, I'd like to say thank you to the person who recommended this forum.  Though the yahoo forum can be informative, there's too much childish behavior there.

As LAC continues to move forward on Thacker Pass, there will be more scrutiny on the negatives of the consequences to the land and the environment.  Growing up in Elko and working in the mines during my college summer and winter breaks, I have seen the destruction the mines have created, first hand.  Is this worse than the oil and the shale fields, I dont think so but there's always more damage than what they tell you.  That being said, I'm for the lithium mining and getting away from depending on China for rare earth minerals.
