I still don’t get it. The ATM sort of a puzzle: LAC has sufficient cash to keep the lights on for some time. They sell shares at around $10 a piece, despite the fact that they know, that once “the news” is out, the share price could easily go over $15. Why would anyone do the financing round now instead of waiting till February? I know, they cannot follow the market, but a small company like that, can surely be bit more dynamic.
The delay of C-O has made a hole in their cashflow, but the balance sheet does not suggest, they need cash. My speculation on this one is, that the answer is in the unpublished DFS. How about this: the extraction process is not a complete failure, but will need another year of research.
