Evans just concluded his potion of the live discussion today, and at lest from my understanding there were a few nuggets of new (or at least confirmed) pieces of information.
1) He expects the record of descision for TP the 1st or 2nd week of Jan 2021, and expects construction to start by the end of the year
2) He said they have multiple interested financing partners in America and also Asia and Europe. It will be interesting to see how much of the Lithium in TP is domestically designated, and how much may potentially be global (at least for the short term to faciliate the lack of full domestic battery supply chain in America.
3) He confirmed our suspicions that they have been approached by multiple parties for offtake agreements, but they are focusing on securing a strategic partner first, since making any offtake agreements this early on could limit their potential partner options.
4) Another interesting point (assuming I understood correctly) was that he said that at this time LAC are sticking to the initial stages of extracting the lithium. Once they have a partner secured they can adjust to the needs of that partner, where they could bring in more equipment to move further up the supply chain.
Early 2021 will be a very interesting year for LAC (and I suspect the SP will reflect this), especially once the spotlight is moved off of Covid-19.
