Message: Tracking Institutional Buying

I thought it might be useful to start a discussion around institutional buying, and specifically recently as the SP has been in decline (admin/mods, if there is already another thread about this, please let me know, from my quick search I didn't see a specific thread for this).

There are a few sites that show Institutional buying activity. So far I have found these to be the best:

https://fintel.io/so/us/lac

https://www.marketbeat.com/stocks/NYSE/LAC/institutional-ownership/

If you look at fintel.io, it appears that the overwhelming majority of institutional activity recently has been purchases not sales, and if I am understanding this site correctly, there have been 2 recent purchases of over 1 million shares each. One end of Nov and the other early Dec.

If anyone is more familiar with institutional ownership and possible other ways to track their activity feel free to chime in.

As people have mentioned on other discussion boards, some investors may be cashing out on their holdings for tax reasons, so I expected to see more institutional sales.
