Pavel: "Note: the call for selling is not becasuse of my "bearish like attitue" but because the fund weights once a quarter against the index. I have taken April data (latest available) and since that LAC went up, so they need to sell a bit. It is not conclusive, but based on this particular case, it does not look like institutions invest into LAC on purpose."

Just an opinion, but I suspect you are correct at least mostly.  It is indeed possible that LAC is just one of many considerations for a company investing that wants to have more Green stocks in their portfolio and that no overly significant attention was taken of LAC in that regard, however.... and a big however... even if that hypothesis has validity ( and I am only proposing that it is possible it has some validity, not that I believe that validitiy is a certainty ) then the circumstances supporting that supposition are in flux.

As the share price of LAC increases, regardless of the underlying cause of that increase, it will of necessity drive more attention to LAC by both potential retail investors and potential industrial investors as well as pre-existing investors in both categories.  IF the situation you pose is true then I think it is quite important to point out that the truth in that situation is ephemeral due to the flux.  Things change and LAC's ability to garner attention from the investing community, be it retail or industrial, has indeed changed accordingly.  14 Million shares trading hands today is proof positive of a situation vastly different from the stuation that existed for LAC a mere one year ago.

Pavel, let's put things into "perspective"

Today, LAC traded 14.8 Million shares.

The average daily volume for GM (that would translate to:  "General Motors")     is:  15,037,231

Today, GM traded a little more than average at about 16.8 Million shares.

The exact number of LAC shares traded today was:  14,872,227

The difference between LAC shares traded today and the average daily volume of General Motors is:  165,004

Just my way of looking at things, but I would say that those number give one heck of a "perspective" on how the situation for LAC has changed.  I am thinking that you might agree with me after looking at those numbers.  Sure, LAC doesn't trade nearly 15 million shares a day, but its average daily volume is over 5 million shares.

More trivia:  BA ( maybe you have heard of "Boeing" ) today traded:  10,767,518

KO ( Coca-Cola) today traded:  6,858,649

Home Depot today traded:  2,272,313  and the Average Daily Volume is 3,759,515

WMT, Wal-Mart traded: 6,774,034 and their Average Daily Volume is 7,122,495

Yes, I know that allof those companies have a much higher share price than does LAC, but I don't question that the nearly 15 million share traded today of LAC is a significant milestone that reflects that this company has come a long, long ways... and even before the first "tonne" of lithium carbonate mined by LAC hits the market.

The key word here is: "Flux"

This word has replaced the previous key word for LAC: "Stagnation".

Of course, JMO
