Watch the latest construction progress at Cauchari-Olaroz #lithium brine project in Jujuy, #Argentina. Cauchari-Olaroz is a joint operation between #LithiumAmericas (TSX | NYSE: LAC) and #GanfengLithium Co. Ltd.
US$458 million (81%) of the US$565 million budgeted CapEx has been committed including US$347 million (61%) spent (at Sept 30, 2020).
Significant progress has been made on the lime plant, SX plant, concrete works on the carbonate plant units and 12 square km solar evaporation ponds.
Construction is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2021 with production in early 2022.
