I listened to the first 45 minutes of the presentation related to the slides, which were the presentations by the state permitting employees. The second half was the Q&A, and they weren't going into Thacker Pass specifics, so I didn't listen to it.

Apart from the two slides showing the timelines for the two Thacker Pass permits, this was general State of Nevada permitting information. What I found interesting, and somehow reassuring, was their focus on how the permitting process is there to confirm and ensure the fulfillment of existing Nevada law. They emphasized that it is not an emotional process, nor subject to opinion, and that if the applicant fullfills the requirements of the law, they are obligated to issue the permits. It almost seemed that they were preparing the public for the inevitable.
