rkeeb:  "I think the part I found the most offensive, and to me it suggests a bias on the author's part, is the statement that Ganfeng is LAC's biggest shareholder."

Just a quick comment, rkeeb.  I also wondered about the possible bias of the authors in this article from the New York Times:  The Lithium Gold Rush: Inside the Race to Power Electric Vehicles.

Some perspective of the type of articles both of these authors write may be helpful.  For the most part their efforts appear to be focused on "Expose" type journalism.  That is just my opinion, but see for yourself.

Ivan Penn - The New York Times (nytimes.com)

Eric Lipton - The New York Times (nytimes.com)

My opinion of their possible bias doesn't mean that their points are wrong, but I always like to know what the focus is of someone who seems to be critical of an issue where I have developed a positive opinion, such as the future of LAC and of Nevada Lithium at Thacker Pass.  Critical articles help show whatever warts are in existence, but sometimes those articles focus so much on the warts that they fail to see the overall positive nature of a situation, this one being LAC's Thacker Pass future.
