BYD buses apparently are quite successful around the world if you ask anyone who doesn't live in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Unfortunately for BYD, their attempt at establishing a U.S. model of the benefits of electric buses failed miserably in Albuquerque a few years back and the taxpayers in Albuquerque are still steaming about it, even though it seems BYD has had great success elsewhere including the establishment of a BYD factory for buses in California.
