Message: August CO Update Video

 Thanks, JD.

Watching that video that shows all the progress made by LAC at Cauchari-Olaroz forces me to remember that August is in the middle of Winter in the Southern Hemisphere and C-O is at an elevation in excess of 13,000 feet to boot!  What an accomplishment!!

Regardless of what happens at Thacker Pass, the situation at C-O is starting to gel and we need this type of reminder as the situation at Thacker Passs continues to muddle along through the legal maze and as LAC dances with Judge Du, Native Americans and the self proclaimed slayers of modern industrial society from the Deep Green Resistance and the like.

For those who may have forgotten the DGR recipe for the future of society, here is a link to get you started on your education:

Deep Green Resistance | Revolutionary Political Organization

Think you might want to volunteer, eh?  Well, first take a look at what is acceptable and what is not at the Thacker Pass "Blockade" according to the following information from May 2021:

"We welcome supporters of the campaign to join us at Thacker Pass!

Stay for a week, stay for a month, stay for as long as it takes. Just be prepared to 1) follow our rules, 2) follow the CoViD protocol, and 3) come prepared with the equipment you need to be safe in this high desert environment."

"Protect the Pass" provides the following information for prospective volunteers:

Join the Blockade | Protect Thacker Pass

So, grab a tent and your personal Porta Potty and join Max and Will and all the gang.

AQI, Air Quality Index, in Reno right now is above 200 AQI so you might have second thoughts if you have COPD or Asthma or any other issues regarding your respiratory system health.  That May 2021 advisory for prospective volunteers did mention that at that time, May 2021, it wasn't necessary to bring an external heat source but it did go on and advise you to bring a warm sleeping bag since back in May it did get pretty cold up at Thacker Pass in the night time.

Well, here is something to think about:  Last year in Sparks we had the first snow of the season in early September, so you might want to start thinking about cold weather setting in up at the pass.  Life in the gold fish bowl ( or is it:  Cold Fish Bowl?)  and all that sort of rot.

Speaking of "Blockade the Pass", it looks like they will either be having a Wake or a celebratory dance come this Thursday... depending on how Judge Du views the suit filed by Will Falks and others.  One more stop on the LAC train to its ultimate destination for the plan to build one of the largest lithium mines in the world.  Onward through the FOG.. and smoke as well, right now from California fires.

 Again, "Thanks", JD.
