NOTICE OF INTENT – Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation Web Posting: 10/28/2021 Deadline for Comments: 12/01/2021 The Administrator of the Division of Environmental Protection (Division) gives notice that an application for a new Reclamation Permit for a Mining Project for the Thacker Pass Project has been properly filed with the Division in Carson City. The applicant for new Reclamation Permit 0415 (Permit) is: Lithium Nevada Corporation 5310 Kietzke Lane, Suite 200 Reno, Nevada 89511

This project will be located within Humboldt County and is in portion(s) of Sections 1 and 12, Township 44 North, Range 34 East; Sections 2-17, Township 44 North, Range 35 East; and Sections 7, 8, 14-23 and 29, Township 44 North, Range 36 East; Mount Diablo Baseline and Meridian, approximately 62 miles from the community of Winnemucca, Nevada. Lithium Nevada Corporation proposes to construct, operate, and reclaim an open pit lithium mining and processing operation. The project has a predicted 41 year mine life and will be permitted and operated in phases. During the initial phase, mining will occur above the regional water table and remain above the 4,825 foot amsl elevation consistent with the Water Pollution Control Permit limitation.

The Administrator is constrained to issue the Reclamation Permit or to deny the application. The Administrator has made the tentative decision to issue the reclamation permit.

Pursuant to NAC 445A.404, the Director is providing this notice of a Public Hearing on the proposed action.
