Some thoughts in response to Cal's post of the opposition by Senator Cortez Masto to efforts of PLAN and some other groups inimical to the best interest of Nevada to neuter the Nevada mining industry:

“I think she’s more comfortable listening to mining executives than some of the people that live here in Nevada,” said Laura Martin, executive director of the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada.

Until now I have never been much of a fan of Cortez Masto.  Until now.

As a 30 year resident of Nevada I can say without hesitation that Laura Martin speaks for herself and a few other misguided Nevadans and not the majority of Nevada citizens.  I am glad that Cortez Masto IS listening to mining executives here in Nevada.  Mining has always been and will remain an essential part of the economy of this state, despite what Laura Martin and the PLAN believe to the contrary.  Some PLAN!!!  Not.
