Thanks for your comments, Clifford.  My point was that local resistance to new mining endeavors seems to be increasing worldwide or, at the very least, is becoming more sophisticated in its wide range of efforts to thwart the development of new mines.  It isn't just happening at Thacker Pass.  On the other hand, LAC had the same sort of resistance at Cauchari-Olaroz and so they have the benefit of having faced resistance to the development of a mine in the past and that experience has probably helped them do the best job that they could at Thacker Pass and may have moderated what may have otherwise been a more knee jerk reaction.  They are a little further up on the learning curve than some other mining companies might be.  JMO    Okiedo
