Message: Attempt to valuate LAC

Interesting, so you think the plan is to use the newly aquired Argentina assets to sweeten the Argentina company and place it for sale and use the proceeds from that to go all in on TP, assuming there is a firm commitment from the gov to ensure it is an essential part of the US supply chain?

I was more under the assumption that as current LAC investors, our shares would essentially be split between the Argentina company and the American company (both would essentially have separate leadership). The management structure part is where I have been confused. A pure sale of Argentina would make the transaction cleaner, but if that were to happen I agree, having to wait a few more years before production is definitely not ideal. One of the most attractive aspects of LAC for me was that is was virtually the only JR that was both on the verge of production and had another world class asset in the works.

I know Evans spoke at a BMO conference yesterday and did mention how potentially the split could work. I would really like to find a video or transcript of what he said at that conference.

I have no doubt if this desicion is ultimately made, it will be because management feel it is the best one, the question in all our mind is, is it the best descision for us investors also. I guess we will have to wait to hear more details.

With all the uncertanty happening right now between fed rate hikes and the world on the edge of war, timing could not be worse unfortuantely.

We shall see I guess.

Side note, it seems to be the season for company splitting :)

"Ford announced a major restructuring on Wednesday, saying it will create two auto businesses: one focused on traditional combustion engines and another dedicated to the company's burgeoning electric-vehicle efforts."
