Looking for the "Why?"

I don't know if this is the "Why?" or not, but it may be contributory:
Lithium Carbonate Prices in Downward Trend_SMM | Shanghai Non ferrous Metals
LCO Prices Declined amid Lost Cost Support and Falling Orders _SMM | Shanghai Non ferrous Metals
Obviously there must be other factors as well, but the market decline in China might have some ripple effect here in the West. Personally, I can't help but entertain the thought that with a $5 or more decline in the share price of LAC in just 2 days that there must be a possibility of market manipulation as possibly a preliminary move by "someone" for an aquisition. How else does it make sense when the expansion of new EV's and other lithium battery products continues?
What are the other opinions on the "reason" for this marked decline in LAC stock price that the members of this Hub have on the subject?
Please post your ideas. Even if one of them has to do with Elon Musk, but hopefully there will be a wider array of opinions beyond the scope of that limited viewpoint.
Thanks
