Just a small comment on that situation regarding batteries, at least as it applies to the drive battery for one model of a Hybrid EV/ICE vehicle.  My son has a 2012 Chevy Volt that had problems with the big battery that is used to power the vehicle when in all electric mode.  In that mode the car gets anywhere from 30 to 40 miles just on its battery before it switches over to the gasoline engine that is used to recharge the battery.  Anyway, there was a problem with the battery and I assumed that it would be a multi-thousand dollar problem whereby the whole battery would need to be replaced.  I really couldn't believe it when the dealership called and informed me that this 2012 Volt's battery was covered by warranty and that there was no charge for taking care of the battery problem.  So, it looks like that for Hybrids and for EVs the exact specification of the warranty on the battery is crucial, with some warrantees better than others.

OK, one last comment, we are drifting away from Lithium Americas here on the Discussion Forum and the Discussion Forum has been invaded, again, by someone who has posted 3 different posts today ( 29 June 2022 ) with absolutely no bearing on the purpose of this Forum:  Lithium Americas, lithium products in general and lithium mining.

Since we do no longer have any "Hub Leaders", for reasons completely unknown, I doubt that anyone here has the power to delete these completely unrelated posts, but if I am wrong then I would encourage that person or persons to do so without any delay.  In the meantime, all members here have the power to submit a "Violation" complaint to Agoracom and in the circumstance where there is a clear violation I would hope all members would do so as soon as they notice a post that clearly does not belong on this Hub and that is a clear violation of the 6 Rules.

Back to the subject of drifting away here on the Discussion Forum.  We have an Off Topic Forum where subjects clearly not related to Lithium Americas, lithium mining and lithium products can be posted and we have Private Messages where we can send back and forth communications on almost all subjects.  

Please don't let this Discussion Forum degenerate in the manner that other Message Boards have done on a routine basis.  Use the Off Topic Forum and PMs as they are intended.  

Hopefully, someone will be put back in the capacity of Hub Leader by Agoracom soon.  Pavel is the most likely candidate because of his rank.  Step up to the challenge, Pavel.
