rkeeb, thanks for your observations and critique. In regard to the timeline situation, as it applies to Thacker Pass, my counter is that I believe timeline projections by LAC's management have historically been proven to be about as valid as those who had tickets for the Titanic on its proposed trip back from America to England and for those with round trip tickets from New York to Tokyo to celebrate New Years back in 1942. How about return tickets from New Jersey to Germany on the Hindenburg?
In the vernacular of the 46th President of the United States: "Come on guys!" do you really believe you can take any Goal Post set by LAC's management to the bank? We have been bamboozeled time and time again with erroneous "Timeline" projections from LAC.
I no longer take seriously any timeline statement from LAC management.
Now, some would interpret the above statements by me as being a Debbie Downer in regards to the future of LAC. That would be a big mistake. I am pro LAC all the way.... except when it comes to "timelines" projected from the company.
Like many of you, if not all of you, I have a big personal stake in the future of LAC to perform and to go to production anywhere, be it at Cauchari-Olaroz or Thacker Pass or anywhere else. "Big personal stake" depends on the individual because what is big to one person might be peanuts to the next, but for my finances I have a great deal riding on the success of this company.
However, when faced with false statements from the company repeatedly about timeline projections I find it ludicrous to put any faith into anything further that the company has to say when it comes to this particular subject. They never seem to hit the timeline goals that they project and I don't see that hapening in the future either.
So, for me anyway, I just ignore any PR of presentation material from LAC when it comes to "timelines", but in regards to the rest of it then I am all ears and all in. Eventually, everything is going to come together for this company and for those invested in it. I would agree that the 10 year gap ( plus how many days or weeks or months beyond 10 years, something not known yet ) from DFS to production for Cauchari-Olaroz is unlikely to be repeated when it comes to Thacker Pass, but I have a somwhat jaundiced eye toward any PR stuff that will in the future come out from the company about that same gap from DFS to production in regards to Thacker Pass.
While LAC will achieve massive heights as a world leader in the production of lithium from their different potential mine locations they will, in deep contrast, always be Casey at the Bat for me in regards to any projections they have made and will make in the future in regards to timelines.
Just my opinion, of course, but I don't see them breaking the mold that they have created regard to their "timelines".
Will that failure on LAC's part, rather a history of repeated failures, keep me from selling shares at a huge profit when they reach that $65 a share projection from Morningstar? Well, what do you think? I am in this for the same reason as all of the rest of you... profit. And I intend to make a heck of a lot of lettuce off of this investment to compensate for sitting tight on it for way over a decade.
My "timeline": When it happens it will happen.
Onward through the FOG!!
