They're probably just using the term battery stocks loosely, including LAC due to the battery supply chain. Although some in the past (where is L2 anyway?) have insisted that LAC had included specs for a battery factory in conjunction with the Thacker Pass permitting process, I have not seen or heard anything reliable to suggest that there are plans to become a battery producer imminently.

However, as LAC's aspirations and market cap grow, I would not be shocked to see them dabble in either a CAM plant or even farther up the value chain.
